Microsoft Word is the standard wordprocessor , but it gets ever more expensive and more complicated
and there is a Free substitute f
it is a Chinese program called Kingsoft WPS Writer
its interface is based on Word - so, if you can use Word , then you can use Writer - and it uses all the same file types
the Wikipedia page about it is HERE
the current version is on https://pc.wps.com/ and is a complete Office Suite ( spreadsheets ,powerpoint and everything ) for free
but I find that an old version from 2012 takes up less space on the laptop, is simpler to use and quite adequate for anything that I have ever wanted it to do
and the old version is an available download from HERE
... anyway ... I do not have Word , I use WPS Writer , so any instructions here relate to Writer
but I imagine they are much the same on Word

Booklets
Using WPS Writer , anyway, the way to make a booklet is , on the topline menu , to go to
"Page Layout "
then..."Margins "
then ... on the drop-down menu , under Pages , choose "Book fold "
and then you will be writing into a booklet , and each page will be, by default, A5 size ... ie/ half the size of normal A4 typing paper
then , back on the top line again , "Insert "
then "Page Number " and choose where you want the numbers to go
>>>>
NOTE // Any booklet that you want to print will have to have a number of pages that is a multiple of Four ...for obvious reasons .... although you may want to leave some blank on purpose
........
but that brings us onto Layout ...,. which is another subject ...
and it IS a bit more complicated than this
but basically ... when you have a booklet of A5 pages , in and number divisible by 4
..... you can "Export as PDF" ..on the File Menu that drops down from the W at the top left corner of the screen
and then send the PDF off to Clocprint ( or some other printer ) .... see " booklets " page , HERE
